Dr. Nicole Redvers, ND, was born and raised in the NWT, and therefore has a very personal passion in giving northerners options in healthcare service. Her Aboriginal background motivates her to help bridge the gap between modern advances in medical science and more traditional forms of healing.
Dr. Redvers is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON, as well as a graduate from the University of Lethbridge, where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree with pre-medical requirements. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors as well as the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia where she is licensed.
Dr. Redvers has done additional training in naturopathic oncology, being a part of the CCNM Adjunctive Cancer Care Clinic for twelve months, and is a professional member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She has done additional certificate training in Prenatal & Postnatal adjunctive care as well as pediatrics, being a member of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She has a special interest in Functional Medicine approaches to health, with skill in gastroenterology, dermatology, and many other chronic diseases affecting our population today.
Dr. Redvers has a passion for health work in the developing world, and has volunteered on mobile clinics offering integrative medicine in Africa, Asia, and Central America over the last eight years. She also runs the free naturopathic medicine drop-in clinic operating in downtown Yellowknife, which targets the homeless and victims of family violence.
Dr. Redvers currently works with children and adults in her family practice to further empower patients to manage and achieve their prevention and treatment health goals.
Note to Patients: The NWT does not currently have a regulating body for naturopathic medicine because of the low number of NDs practicing here. Dr. Redvers is therefore licensed out of the province of British Columbia where Naturopathic Doctors have the broadest scope of practice in Canada.
