Christina Vernon graduated from the Somatics Institute School of Massage in Edmonton in 2005. She lived for many years in Yellowknife, both prior to and after completing her massage training. In the summer of 2015 she moved to Saskatoon for family reasons. She is thrilled to be back in the place that her heart calls home!
Christina loves practicing massage. She believes that everyone can benefit from massage therapy, whether it is to reduce stress, prevent injuries or rehabilitate existing conditions. Under her care you can expect a safe, effective assessment and treatment that will seek to address the root cause of your pain or discomfort. She is a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan.
Christina has been asked many times (even by clients while they are on her table!) what kind of massage she does. Her school encouraged students to develop their own style of work incorporating various techniques, with the work always being grounded in connected and respectful touch. Over the past several years Christina has also studied and practiced Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CST). This is a gentle yet deep therapy that brings strong relaxation and eases pain and discomfort. For more information about CranioSacral Therapy go to www.upledger.com. While in Saskatoon Christina received training in working with people living with cancer. She is very interested in putting her skills to work in this area.
When not in the clinic Christina can be found exploring the wild areas around Yellowknife. She very much looks forward to reconnecting with friends and her former clients as well as building new relationships both personal and professional.
